I go to the gym when I can, but on the days when I don’t have time I want to be able to do cardio at home, not just strength training things. So, does anyone know of a few good cardio DVD’s that really get your heart rate up and burn calories!!??

Im a 26 year old male, and i weigh 94kg. I have been attending gym 3 times a week for 5 months and my sessions consist of

45 mins Cardio (Cross Trainer/Bikes/Rowing)
30 Mins Weights

My diet during week is normally as follows:

8am - Bowl of Cornflakes/Crunchy Nut Cornflakes (sometimes with bannana)

1:00pm Pasta, Tuna and sweet Corn (normally about a cereal bowl full), normally have bag of Walkers Baked Crisps with it. (100 calories and are low in fat)

3:30 Sometime have another bag of Walkers Baked or Apple

6:00pm - Have a chicken/ham baguete with salad in it.

On weekend i try to stick to same plan but we may go to restraunt for steak or pub for sunday dinner.

I dont really drink unless i go out with ppl or with my sunday lunh have a pint of lager.

If ne1 can help me see whats happening id be greatful cos i eat nowhere near the 1500 calories im supposed allowed and i exercise every other day. I asked docter but he as good as called me a liar and said its impossible.
To answer ur questions I drink Tea (1 sugar), water or Ribena/Fruitjuice(fresh).

With regard to the intensity of workout i Normally warm up on bikes then do 6km on crosstrainer heart rat varies between 155-180 depending on if i do sprint finishs ect. then i use rower to cool down. sometimes i swap these around a bit
Just another thing i thought of. IN one of the answers it says to excercise 6 times a week. But my trainer said that this is counter productive. At mo i go every other day so works out /4 times a week. what do u guys think?

So for all you healthy people!
Starting January 5th i started going to the gym… I have been doing Cardio on the cross trainer about everyother day or 2x per week (never exercise on the weekends)
So im 27 and weight 130.. that means my BMI shold be 220-27= 193….{ the very tip top!}
I have been doing about 188-190 bmi (ALL THE TIME)
2.10 miles…. 600 calories… breathing hard…. 45min

Now today I did a test…: I went SLOWER~
174-lowest (177-180) 182-highest BPM
2.20 miles…. 600cal…. 45 min… not out of breath the whole time!

So why is it i can go slower and still burn the same calories… in the same time?

I havent been watching my food but if i had to guess it would be about 2,500 cal a day…..
I also wear a heart rate monitor and it shows what the machine shows
