Interesting input Steve. I truly admire you for putting up with, and answering all of those mundane questions you receive.

  • BodyPerformanceTV says:

    Yes. that sounds good.

  • folkinfolkin says:

steve, if i just burn 100 calories everytime i go to the gym (every other day) is this enough to keep me fit? im not particularly looking to lose weight but is this a fair amount being that i also work out for the rest of my gym time?

  • BodyPerformanceTV says:

It’s not bad for you but if you’re trying to lose weight it will add additional calories to your daily total making it more difficult. Most people eat more than enough calories and nutrients to repair their muscles. BUT remember, it’s not supplements that cause muscle growth, it’s lifting weights that does. So supplements (protein & carb powders) will just make people fatter if they don’t workout.

thanks for your advice steve, ive been training for about a month now and i feel great

although i am using a supplement called extreme build and recover this is only because i dont think im getting enough protien in my diet normally

do you think this is benificial to my growth? or should i completely cut out the supplements

once again your advice is appreciated

  • LidarDan15 says:

I had that same problem; I wasn’t getting sore anymore until I moved up from a 45 curling bar to a 55, and 15 lb freeweights to 22.5…now I’m sore, and feeling oh so good!!

  • BodyPerformanceTV says:

Creatine doesn’t work that way. Guys always want to rely on supplements too much. What they need to do is LIFT! That’s what causes muscle to grow. Muscle don’t come easily or quickly BUT they do come when you put the time and effort in. That’s what I still do! Train hard!

  • trollope4lyf2k8 says:

steve, i really want to put on alot of muscle

and im wondering if creatine would help me achieve this?

would be grateful for your advice

  • BodyPerformanceTV says:

Yes and Yes. But remember, getting bigger and stronger does take time, effort and patience.

    steve i have a question,
im 14 and ive been working out seriously for the past 3 or so weeks and lately my muscles arent getting sore anymore… should i take it up a notch? and also im wondering if im still getting stronger or bigger even though im not getting sore anymore?

  • BodyPerformanceTV says:

    Nice job! My pleasure!

It still depends on how much you’re eating and exercising. Try eating 3 meals a day instead of just one. Also you need to do some walking & jogging a few times a week. This will help speed the weight loss process. And naturally keep lifting this will build your muscles. Regardless of what you eat you will need to workout to build muscles.

  • rpanazzola says:

Hi steve. I workout everyday but i seem to eat really improper i usally have a protien shake and one meal a day. Am i gonna build muscle and lose weight that way?

  • BodyPerformanceTV says:

Thank you! As long as you’re training hard (and consistently) and eating enough through out the day you don’t need to worry about protein after working out. But if you’re hungry eat whatever you like. It makes no difference!

  • bishara1235 says:

steve i have a serious question

protein shakes are extra calories and the only timei can do my weight training is at 8.30 say after i finsh about 9+ what should i use for protein at that time around sleep time

    regards a big fan
    bishara
btw your so helpful everything i’ve thought of is in your videos thanks so much steve

  • BodyPerformanceTV says:

Not really. Some people just want to know if they should lose weight first before starting a weight lifting program. And I said weight training will burn calorie too. And every little bit helps.

  • eddamonsta says:

so its kind like bulking up first and then cutting???

  • lilgirlsj says:

depend on your body type. and how much you bench.
